Iona is an innovation and technology entrepreneur in Education, focused on scalable, sustainable, and high impact solutions. Board member at the Stanford University School of Education, Iona holds a B.A in psychology from PUC-Rio, M.A in psychology and neuroscience from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, a degree in French civilization from Sorbonne University, a MBA degree in from FGV-Rio, and a M.A in Policy, Organization, and Leadership from Stanford University. Iona is a Lemann Foundation Fellow, a recipient of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development Fellowship and the Lemann Foundation Start-Ed Lab Award for entrepreneurship in education technology as a co-founder of a computational thinking platform narrowing the gap between non-English speakers and coding worldwide. Previously, Iona worked in the public sector as a strategic projects manager for the State of Rio de Janeiro, increasing investment and managing PPPs, dedicated to making social impact on a large scale.
