Since 2000 he has hosted “Caldeirão do Huck” (Huck's Calderon), aired every Saturday on Brazilian network Rede Globo, and also broadcast to 114 countries, via Globo International. The highest-rated television program of its time slot, with audience of about 18 million people per Saturday, Caldeirão do Huck has revolutionized and popularized the variety program format in Brazil by creating segments where ordinary people describe their struggles in life and see their dreams come true.

The main difference between Huck’s TV show among his competitors is the purpose behind the attractions, which is to giving protagonism and empowerment to ordinary people.

Huck is also founder of Joá Investments, an investment fund focused on technology and lifestyle start-up companies, that only makes partnerships with companies committed with sustainability and with the preservation of the environment. Among Joá’s investments there are Cataratas, that focus on sustainable tourism, Tembici, a bike-sharing and bike-parking system, and also Agrade Investments that works with start-ups in the USA.

Moreover, Huck is the founder and chairman of Instituto Criar (Create Institute), a non-profit organization which mission is to promote youth professional, social and personal development by teaching them how to work in several areas of filmmaking. Established in 2004, 2000 youth have been part of this educational program until 2018.

The main characteristic of Huck’s personality is that his audience trusts his messages. He walks the talk showing in his TV Show and in his social media what he believes. As a result of that in 2009, Huck was the first Brazilian citizen to have one million followers on Twitter. He achieved it in only four months. Nowadays, 12,7 million people follow his tweets (@LucianoHuck), circa 18,2 million people have liked his Facebook page and 14,7 million follow him on Instagram (@lucianohuck).

Involved in Brazilian’s political renewal movements, as Renova Brasil and Agora (Renew Brazil and Now), Luciano Huck was included in previous presidential pools. Although he did not presented himself as a candidate, he received 8% of voting intentions in January 2018 pools.
